Mexican Falafel Black Bean Falafel Dried/canned chickpeas – In a food processor pulse onion, garlic, cilantro lime juice, salt and pepper. Pulse until finely chopped, and can be clumped together. Heat frying oil in a large skillet or deep pot. Form falafel balls and drop into oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes, flip and fry again for 1 minute. Drain on paper towels and season with salt while hot. Baja Sauce 1 Red bell pepper – In a food processor blend bell pepper, onion, garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper for 2 minutes. Strain out liquid.
